As a Seattle native, I grew up in the Ravenna neighborhood. After college, I worked 2 years for a start up golf club manufacturing company in southern California as their production manager, then returned to Seattle and joined for L B Nelson Corp ( now part of Trammel Crowe) working on 3 different 30 building condo projects on the east side. In 1981 with the downturn in the economy, I left L B Nelson. Later that year I started as a realtor at Greenlake Realty, moved on to James Albright Realty (now part of John L Scott) in 1984 & 1985 then in 1986 I joined Gerrard, Beattie, & Knapp and was there until the later part of 1992 when I left to join Windermere Sand Point.

Credentials & Approach

I acquired my broker’s license in 1995, hold designations as a Certified Residential Specialist, Accredited Buyers Representative, and a Graduate of the Realty Institute. I adhere to the highest ethical standards, am very detail oriented, and foremost, represent buyers and sellers in a tenacious fiduciary manner. As one of my peers said of me to one of my clients " he is tough, but fair'. I am a win/win negotiator, a good house for a fair price. My passion is helping you discover the right house, and helping you avoid the wrong ones. On the selling side my job is to create the best possible presentation of your home via staging and marketing. A buyer does not have to imagine what it could be, their expectations are fulfilled. Buying is much easier. I am a member of the NWMLS on the residental side, the Commercial Brokers Association for Multi-family investors and to find places for artists and special work live spaces. 

Experience & Resources

Since 1978 I have fully restored 14 homes for myself, and have helped, consulted, and/or done design work on dozens of homes for friends, relatives, and clients. I have long term relationships with highly skilled, seasoned individuals in, mortgage lending, building inspection, title,escrow, and a great multitude of other problem solving professionals. Each property has its own challenges that need to be properly evaluated, so that we can come up with the best possible solution.

With 36 years of success in developing and maintaining long term real estate relationships, continuing education, and first rate resources and support from Windermere, I deliver excellent service and have an in depth market knowledge of the greater Seattle market. On top of this, I have advanced knowledge and experience related to architectural integrity, research, site quality, neighborhood makeup and trends, and schools, both public and private. I have two children in the Seattle Public Schools.
